- Research study abroad programs
- Attend a Study Abroad Info Session or the Study Abroad Fair
- Meet with the Engineering Opportunities Center to discuss course options
- Meet with a Study Abroad Advisor to discuss application process and logistics
- Begin the application process
- Get academic advisor’s pre-approval for courses
- Apply for financial aid and scholarships
- Register for ENGR 2100 (Study Abroad Seminar) for the semester prior to going abroad
- Finalize all applications
- Pay deposits
- Book travel and get passport
- Complete all pre-departure requirements
- GO ABROAD!!!
Pre-Departure Course
All engineering students that study abroad will enroll in a one-hour pre-departure course during the semester prior to their departure. This course is designed as an introductory course for engineering students who will study aboard at the undergraduate level. An overview of the different issues that students face before, during and after being abroad will be covered in this course. The course will also focus on safety, risks and other important issues students must be aware of during their study abroad experience. Finally, this course will students with a logical framework and skill set that will enhance their experience abroad.
