Service Abroad Programs

Service Abroad Overview

Service abroad is a unique experience that takes students beyond the classroom by providing opportunities to work at local non-profit organizations, municipal offices, schools, clinics and others, abroad. Using their own connections, students can participate in a service learning project to fulfill their international requirement. Students may also use approved affiliated providers for service abroad. In either case, the experience must be a minimum of six to eight weeks in length, receive pre-approval from the IEP, and supporting documentation must be completed before and after their time abroad. The supporting documentation to be filled out can be found here: IEP International Service Form
