Engineering Students Participate in Bell Helicopter Boot Camps

Bell Helicopter Boot Camp
Bell Helicopter Engineering Boot Camp

For the fourth consecutive year Bell Helicopter, a Textron Inc. company, hosted college students from universities around the United States at its company-sponsored Engineering boot camps. This year, a total of 20 engineering students representing 11 different universities from across the country attended the boot camps.

The two weeklong boot camps, held in the beginning of each year at Bell Helicopter's Fort Worth, Texas facilities, provide challenging learning opportunities for both the engineering college students and Bell Helicopter. For students, the weeklong camps are a chance to work at a globally recognized aerospace company that allows them to see firsthand how engineers tackle real-world engineering problems.

Texas Tech was one of the11 universities that participated in the program and Derek Eddins, a senior mechanical engineering major, was featured in a promotional photograph.
