STEM Camps, Clubs and Professional Development
The Texas Tech University Whitacre College of Engineering Outreach and Engagement Program provides quality STEM educational opportunities for children throughout the community.
Whitacre College of Engineering Junior Engineering Clubs are provided at no cost to participating schools and allow 5th grade students to explore different fields of engineering, engage in real world, hands-on STEM activities, receive mentoring, and experience Texas Tech University culture.
Clubs meet after school once a week to educate and cultivate an interest in STEM education. Their time is focused on engineering fields of study and career pathways. Everything culminates in a student STEM expo, allowing club members to showcase what they have learned throughout their time as a junior engineer.
Lego Robotics Field Trips
Day-long LEGO® robotics field trips are offered to students in elementary and middle
school to expose them to STEM (Science Technology Engineering and Math) through the
exciting multidisciplinary application of robotics.
