Sponsored by ConocoPhillips, the ConocoPhillips Center for Engineering Enrichment and Diversity is located in the Engineering Opportunities Center (EOC) and aims to increase diversity and retention in the Whitacre College of Engineering through academic support programs that promote inclusion, Ethics & Diversity Speaker Series, special events, and academic support for engineering and computer science students.
The FIRST Mentorship program focuses on freshman and transfer first generation college (FGC) students and matches them to junior and senior level FGC student peer mentors. FIRST creates an environment that supports academic progress as well as the social, community, and career needs and interests of FGC students by providing opportunities to become meaningfully involved in the Whitacre College of Engineering.
The LYFE Mentorship Program matches incoming first-time freshman to junior and senior level peer mentors in the Whitacre College of Engineering and aims to help participating freshman to Navigate through the challenges they may encounter during their first year.
The WCOE Women's Program aims to create a community that supports and encourages female engineering students to succeed in the Whitacre College of Engineering by offering opportunities to network and activities that offer a safe space to address issues of interest to female engineering students. These activities include Lunch & Learns, guest speakers from industry, workshops, and a yearly etiquette dinner.
