JCMIFest

JCMIFest is an annual showcase and celebration of excellent audio and video production created by students in the Journalism & Creative Media Industries program. Scroll down for event information and submission guidelines.

$100 CASH PRIZE for the BEST AUDIO ENTRY and the BEST VIDEO ENTRY!
The Best Video Entry will also be automatically inducted into the
2024 FLATLAND FILM FESTIVAL Shorts Program.

Content is eligible for consideration if:
-it involves at least one JCMI student
-has not previously been submitted to JCMI Fest, and
-meets video and audio submission specifications

Video

File Resolution: maximum 2K (2560 x 1440); minimum 1080p (1920 x 1080). Files with resolutions lower than 1080p will not be accepted.
File Format: MP4
Maximum Duration: eight (8) minutes
File Labeling: files must be labeled VIDEO_YOUR NAME_TITLE OF PROJECT (ex. VIDEO_MARTIN SCORCESE_THE LAST WALTZ.mp4)
Video Submission Link: files must be submitted to the following Dropbox Request: https://www.dropbox.com/request/QQ4KOqH18JdN9JlBV2ZL
All submissions must be accompanied by a completed submission form! Submission forms may be emailed to jerod.w.foster@ttu.edu or submitted in-person to my office, COMC 403.

Audio

File Format: MP3 (no other file format will be accepted)
Maximum Duration: eight (8) minutes
File Labeling: files must be labeled AUDIO_YOUR NAME_TITLE OF PROJECT (ex. AUDIO_JIMMY PAGE_STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN.mp3)
