Electronic Media & Communications

My name is J.B. Felipe and I am a senior Electronic Media & Communications major from Fort Worth, TX.

Throughout my childhood, I have always been fascinated with two things: technology and art. My passion for telling compelling stories through the latest technologies has turned into my hobby. It has taken me on many exciting adventures, leading up to my decision to study electronic media at the College of Media & Communication here at Texas Tech.

In addition to being a part of the Dean’s Student Council, I also serve as the Historian for Pi Delta Alpha and a member of the Tech Association of Student Electronic Media within the college.

Beyond the college, I lend a creative hand to a variety of organizations across the campus, including being the Event Coordinator for Students for Global Connections and Digital Content Producer for the Texas Tech Recreational Sports Marketing Department.

After Texas Tech, I plan to continue my adventure by obtaining my Master of Arts and Technology. My main goal in life is to get someone to say: “Wow!” I truly believe normal is boring. So I always aim to go big, go crazy, and to do the unexpected!
