Although unaware, I have been a communications enthusiast all throughout my life. As a young child, I was always setting up my own faux talk show in the living room, stealing the spotlight whenever possible, and eventually hosting my own sports radio show in high school. I have always had a love for interacting with others. The evolving world of communications along with social media and my gregarious personality led me to choose public relations.
I currently intern at Madera Residential in Lubbock and it is my goal to join the world of corporate public relations after graduation. I currently serve on the executive council of Kappa Delta sorority as the Vice President of Public Relations. In addition to Dean’s Council, I am also an active member of Big Brothers Big Sisters, Order of Omega Honor Society, the Association for Women in Communications, and Tech PR.
Texas Tech University and the College of Media & Communication have provided me with a solid foundation for my future and have taught me what it truly means to, "strive for honor," in all that I set out to accomplish.
