McKenzie Jordan
Public Relations

My name is McKenzie Jordan and I am a senior public relations major and business minor from Corsicana, Texas. I entered the College of Media and Communication as a freshman, unsure of what exactly I wanted to do. I now know that I plan to attend law school after graduation and look forward to using the many skills and life lessons I have learned as a PR student.

This past summer I served as a Congressional intern for Congressman John Carter in Washington, D.C. During my time in his office, I was exposed to the political realm of our country and more specifically the importance of all types of communication. I currently serve as Vice President of Intellectual Development for Alpha Chi Omega, am a member of Mortar Board senior honor society, and am the Student Assistant to Texas Tech’s University Counsel.

The faculty and staff of the College of Media & Communication have helped me become the person I am today and have allowed me to expand upon my love for writing. I am excited about and look forward to my time on the Dean’s Student Council.
