My name is Thea McDonald, and I am from Plano, Texas. I am a senior Public Relations major with a minor in Business Administration, and I intend to further my education in graduate school. I enjoy communicating with people in as many ways as possible, and learning about different techniques of doing so is very interesting to me. I am involved in several other organizations on campus, and I love being a Red Raider!
Outside of the college, I am involved in several organizations. I am currently the Vice President of Campus Affairs for my sorority, Alpha Phi, and I am a member of two Greek honor societies, Order of Omega and Rho Lambda. Aside from Greek life, I serve as the Executive Vice President of the National Society of Collegiate Scholars, and I am a member of Alpha Lambda Delta Honor Society and the Golden Key Club. Within the College of Media and Communications, I participate in Tech PR, which is a great way for me to be involved with other students who share my passion for communicating with others, and I have been honored to be on the President’s List every semester since I entered the college.
I believe engaging in Public Relations is crucial for every organization and company because it allows for regular communication of an entity’s goals and key messages. My ultimate goal is to work as the public relation director for a large corporation and do just that.
