I believe communication is key to how our world operates, so as an active member, former Secretary, and now Vice President of the Dean’s Student Council, I hope to communicate how important careers in Media & Communication are. Whether it is in Advertising or any other mass communication field, I think all Mass Communication majors contribute to the development and future of our world’s connectivity. I wish to see others realize this, and my goal is to make the Dean's Council a profound leader in this cause.

I have also always been drawn to governing and politics. In 2012, I was given an amazing opportunity by working as the deputy communications director for former Congresswoman Heather Wilson's U.S. Senate campaign in New Mexico. Although I joke that "I stepped over to the dark side" by working on a campaign, I gained invaluable knowledge by working with some of the smartest minds in New Mexico and U.S. politics.
