Jeff Balter

Jeffrey Balter earned his Master of Arts in Marketing and Mass Communications from Texas Tech University in 1986. During his time at the university, Balter also served as a visiting assistant professor of advertising where he taught Principles of Advertising and Advertising Media Strategy courses. He also received a dedication award from students and staff for teaching excellence.

James Hering

James Hering

James Hering graduated from Texas Tech University's College of Mass Communications in 1986 with a Bachelor of Arts in advertising and a minor in music composition. After graduation, Hering began working as an assistant media planner at Waddington and Associates. Hering also worked at Ad Group One, Ackerman McQueen, and Bozell throughout his early career. During this time, Hering worked with clients such as Dr. Pepper, Pizza Hut and American Airlines.

Tim Loecker

Tim Loecker

Tim Loecker graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts in public relations from Texas Tech University's College of Media & Communication. Loecker currently serves as senior vice president in the Dallas office of Weber Shandwick, a leading global public relations firm. He also serves on the college's National Professional Advisory Board.

Craig Rettig

Craig Rettig

Born in The Netherlands and raised in El Paso, Texas, Craig Rettig graduated from Texas Tech University in 1989 with a Bachelor of Arts in advertising. While a student at Texas Tech, Rettig was a member of the first pledge class of Pi Delta Alpha, the official media and communication fraternity. He also worked with the advertising department of The University Daily newspaper. Rettig has served on the College of Media & Communication's National Professional Advisory Board since 2011.

Mat Threadgill

Mat Threadgill

Mat Threadgill started his career at The Richards Group after graduating from Texas Tech University in 2000 with a Bachelor of Science in Advertising. While at The Richards Group, he worked with The Home Depot, helping launch a new line of power tools, revamp the gift card program and develop the company's sports sponsorships. He headed up the Fruit of the Loom and Adams Golf accounts.
