2016 Outstanding Alumni

Sheri Mudd has been a proud resident of Lubbock since coming to Texas Tech University as a freshman in 1997. Sheri graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in public relations in 2001 and received a Master of Arts degree in mass communications in 2002.

Mudd began her successful career in broadcast media as an account executive at KLBK-TV and KAMC-TV in Lubbock in 2007, becoming the KAMC local sales manager in 2012. As the local sales manager, she coaches and leads a highly successful team in developing and implementing customized broadcast and digital marketing plans for local and regional advertisers. Her goal is always to help clients increase revenue and grow their business.

Prior to working in television, Mudd was a sales executive for C.H. Robinson, one of the world's largest providers of transportation and freight logistics.

Mudd's passion away from the office has been her opportunities to volunteer and serve the needs of the South Plains community. Organizations that have captured her heart have included the American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, Make-A-Wish North Texas, March of Dimes, The Susan G. Komen Foundation and The Texas Tech Museum Association.

As co-chair for the 2014 American Cancer Society Cattle Baron's Ball, Mudd led a team that set a then-record, breaking a half-million dollars in revenue for the first time in 32 years.

She is also a member of the Lubbock Symphony Guild, Lubbock's chapter of the Association for Women in Communications, the Lubbock Junior Women's Club and Young Professionals of Lubbock.

During her career, Mudd has been named a KAMC/KLBK-TV Top Performer, been a recipient of the Lubbock Chamber of Commerce's “Twenty Under Forty” award, the American Cancer Society's “Silver Stirrup Volunteer Award” and was awarded the Make-A-Wish North Texas “Waltzing for Wishes” Best All Around Celebrity Dancer.

Mudd is married to KAMC-TV News Anchor Bryan Mudd and is the proud parent of three great kids: Tanner, Peyton and Olivia.
