Cyndie Buckle

Biography

I am a native Texan - born in Houston and raised down the road in the Permian Basin. My passion for creativity landed me a design job at Texas Tech in 2007. In 2019, I joined the Advertising & Brand Strategy team. I truly work among the best people. When I'm not teaching, I create encaustic paintings, develop mixed media images, and weld sculptures from various metals and found objects.

Leadership & Awards

Cyndie is the current president of the American Advertising Federation Lubbock Chapter. She is the Past President/Member at Large of the Public Relations Society of America West Texas Chapter and professional co-advisor for the Public Relations Student Society of America organization at Texas Tech University. Her designs have garnered numerous American Advertising Awards (ADDY) for Hospitality Services, Campus Life and Student Union & Activities. Also, her copywriting and design work for Hospitality Services has received multiple APEX and Service Industry Association Awards.
