Biography

Robyn B. Adams (pronouns: they/them)

Robyn is a friend, godparent, poet, community sustainer, and Black feminist health communication scholar. Robyn graduated from Texas Tech University with a B.A. in Media Strategies and M.A. in Mass Communication. Afterwards, they attended Michigan State University, and are graduating with a Ph.D. in Information and Media. Their dissertation explores the gestational experiences of Black LGBTQ+ parents through storytelling, which is currently one of the most extensive Black Queer reproduction story-based datasets of its kind. Robyn lives in Dallas, Texas, where they spend their time at local coffee shops, creating floral bouquets, practicing yoga, and volunteering at a Dallas-based reproductive justice center. They are excited to meet more members of the TTU CoMC family.
