The Michael G. and L. Marie Parkinson Fund
For the Study of Public Relations
The Michael G. and L. Marie Parkinson Fund for the Study of Public Relations was privately endowed in 2007 to aid public relations faculty and students in making contributions to academe and business. The one-of-a-kind Parkinson Fund provides financial reward for faculty publication in top public relations and strategic communication journals, funding for professional development, resources for research and travel, and financial assistance in terms of scholarships for top undergraduate and graduate students studying public relations. In addition, the Parkinson Fund can be accessed to help pay faculty dues to membership organizations. A portion of the Parkinson Fund is set aside to assist Ph.D. students in conducting leading-edge dissertation research in public relations. All applications for funding are reviewed by a committee of public relations faculty members and awarded on a competitive basis.
