Dr. Graybeal uses media management and economic theories to study issues of media sustainability, and the ways in which sustainability is strategized in a changing marketplace. This has encompassed research on youth audiences, new business models, micropayments, media entrepreneurship, social television and binge watching.
Co-founder and co-owner of Lede, LLC., a social media strategy and business model innovation consultancy. Prior experience as a reporter and editor.
Leadership / awards:
Dr. Graybeal is the bibliographer/community outreach officer of the Media Management & Economics division of the Association for Educators in Journalism & Mass Communication (AEJMC).
