Research: Dr. Rodriguez is the author of one journal article, several research presentations and numerous other communications materials. Her research interests include advertising, public relations, sports and the law.
Experience:Dr. Rodriguez spent several years working in account management in the advertising industry prior to returning to school to pursue her MBA at Boston University and her law degree at the University of Florida. She worked on accounts ranging from the industrial to regional consumer package goods. After law school, Dr. Rodriguez practiced law for five years in the northeast, representing a diverse client base in various capacities. Practice areas included: Sports & Entertainment Management, Marketing & Sales, General Business, Toxic Torts, and Commercial Defense. Dr. Rodriguez also worked as an Advertising Compliance Officer at GE Capital Corp. and maintained a Management Consulting firm in New York. She remains an active member of the Connecticut State Bar.
Leadership / awards: Dr. Rodriguez received several leadership awards while at the University of Florida and is one of the founding editors of the Florida Entertainment, Art & Sport Law Journal. She was awarded membership to Phi Delta Phi legal association in 1994.
