Research: Much of my work deals with media effects, specifically the impact of ability-integrated advertising. As such, I have four publications in that area and have edited a special issue of Disability Studies Quarterly focusing on that subject. In addition, I have some experience with brand equity issues doing consulting work for two southern health organizations.

Experience:
  • 15 years in academia at Iowa State and then California State University, Fullerton.
  • Two years as marketing manager for a national sports organization and two years with ad agencies.
