Travis Cram joins the Texas Tech Alumni Association as the new Membership Director after being affiliated with Texas Tech for the past 10 years.

"This is a great opportunity for me and I am thankful to have the chance to give back to the university after gaining so much from my time as a student," Cram said. "Membership is one of the most important aspects of the Alumni Association and I look forward to us gaining more members and continuing to grow as an organization."

He graduated from Tech in 2007, majoring in print journalism with a minor in communication studies. He served three years at The Daily Toreador covering news and sports and ended his tenure as editor-in-chief for the student newspaper in 2006.

He's spent the last five years as a freelance writer for The Associated Press, covering Tech football and both men's and women's basketball. He also was the Lady Raiders beat writer for The Lubbock Avalanche-Journal before taking the position as managing editor with Official Sports Report. Cram was also the National Social Media Director for all 17 OSR schools.

He also currently serves as managing editor for RaiderPower.com and a local correspondent for FOX Sports.com, working closely with head coach Tommy Tuberville and the Red Raider football team.

Travis' parents, Frank ('79, J.D. '82) and Brenda ('81), each graduated from Texas Tech along with his aunt, Bonnie Criner ('77). Travis' younger brother, Trey, is a junior at Tech and his sister, Mary, is a freshman.
