Texas Tech Alumni Association Aids Hurricane Katrina Relief
The Texas Tech Alumni Association will give to the American Red Cross 10 percent of all online contributions for any new, renewed or extended membership donation from Sept. 3 through Sept. 17. In addition, the Alumni Association will give to the American Red Cross 10 percent of all membership donations and entry fees at the three Frazier Alumni Pavilion pregame parties in September. These proceeds will go to support the Hurricane Katrina relief fund.
Brent Ross, associate vice president of the Texas Tech Alumni Association, said the hurricane disaster in Louisiana and the surrounding states calls for the help of Techsans.
�We hope Texas Tech alumni, students and fans respond to the Alumni Association�s relief efforts and enable us to make a sizable contribution to the American Red Cross,� Ross said.
To join, renew or extend a membership with the Tech Alumni Association, visit www.TexasTechAlumni.org. By taking action immediately, memberships will benefit the relief effort as well as the university.
