Red Raider Fans Have Responded!

With two weeks to go until the start of the 2005 season, Texas Tech fans pushed season ticket sales to the 40,000 mark for the first time in the history of the football program. Fans can still purchase season tickets through Fri., Sept. 9.

The ever-popular $99 season ticket was a huge hit again as was the first-year $119 season ticket. Both are sold out. However, season tickets in other sections still remain and are available for $170 and $215 throughout the stadium.

This seasons ticket sales shatter the previous record of 36,839 sold for the 2004 season. This also marks the third time in the Mike Leach era that the season ticket sales record has been set.

In response to fan demand, a mini-pack has been created, allowing fans a jump start on Texas A&M game tickets. This will give fans an A&M ticket and a ticket to one of the three non-conference games of the buyers choice. The mini-pack will be available for purchase Sept.1 at Select-A-Seat outlets as well as texastech.com and Sept. 2 at the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket office. Individual Texas A&M game tickets go on sale Sept. 25 on-line and Select-a-Seat locations and also Sept. 26 at the Texas Tech Athletics Ticket Office.

Single-game tickets for the other six home games are currently on sale. Prices for the Florida International, Sam Houston State and Indiana State games are $40 for chairbacks and $20 for bench seats. Kansas and Kansas State tickets will cost $50 chairback and $25 bench, while all seats for the Oklahoma game are $65.

Fans can purchase tickets at Select-A-Seat outlets, and the Texas Tech Athletic Ticket Office, which operates 8:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
