The 2005 Official Texas Tech Ornament Has Arrived

There is no symbol more closely associated with Texas Tech than the Double T. Recognized throughout the world as representing our university and our Red Raiders and Lady Raiders, the Double T now adorns the 2005 Official Texas Tech Ornament.

The 2005 Official Texas Tech Ornament is a 14-carat gold replica of the Double T in a red and black velour-lined gift box. It was designed by Nelda Laney, Tech graduate, Alumni Association Board Member and wife of the Honorable Pete Laney of Hale Center. Sale of the Official Texas Tech Ornament is a project of the Office of the president, chaired by Jennifer Whitmore, wife of President Jon Whitmore.

Sales of the ornaments support special projects to benefit Tech students. Registered student organizations may apply for grant monies to support special projects and on-going expenses. Proceeds from the sale of the 2004 ornament generated more than $18,000 in grants for student organizations.

Each year a new ornament is available so that Texas Tech supporters can collect the entire set. For more information on ornaments from 1997 through 2004, please visit the official ornament Website at www.ornaments.ttu.edu or contact the Office of the President at 806-742-2121.

Single ornaments are priced at $20 each plus shipping and handling. A volume discount is available for orders of more than 24 ornaments. All ordering information is found on the Website.
