Lisa Du Bois Low
Associate Director, Emerging Media & Digital Communications
Lisa leads the emerging media outreach efforts including Facebook, Twitter and Foursquare for the university. She is also responsible for developing content for the Texas Tech University web presence. She has more than 20 years of copywriting experience. Lisa is certified in crisis communications and is responsible for the Emergency Communications Center and maintenance of the TechAlert! system.
Lisa began her writing career in community college development, producing grant and foundation publications. She then moved on to commercial marketing for products from apparel to high tech electronics. Lisa has a passion for marketing and writing. From grant writing to copywriting, Web writing was a short walk. She has been involved in internet marketing and new media since the early days of AOL and Netscape. An admitted techno-geek, she speaks and presents frequently on all topics related to digital communications.
She holds undergraduate degrees in accounting, finance and marketing, and earned her MBA from Baker University so she is equally at home analyzing a balance sheet as she is at teaching others how to write for the Web. A Kansas City native, she has lived up and down the eastern seaboard (from Atlanta to Boston) and as far west as Denver, but is happy to call Lubbock home.
