Diersing Among First to Pass New Cardiac Rehab Certification
Dean Diersing, Supervisor of Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehabilitation at TTU-HMC and teacher of ESS 3368 Exercise Testing and Prescription in the Department of Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences, has passed the Certified Cardiac Rehabilitation Professional (CCRP) exam. Department Chair Angela Lumpkin said this credential is new within the cardiac rehab profession and is the only comprehensive professional certification in cardiac rehab. Diersing is among the first 100 Cardiac Rehabilitation professionals in the U.S. to obtain this honor, Lumpkin added. Diersing earned his B.S. and M.S. from TTU’s Department of Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences. The Department of Health, Exercise & Sport Sciences (HESS) is one of 16 departments in the College of Arts & Sciences.
