Two Rawls Students Receive Prestigious Scholarship from the Texas Business Hall of Fame
Jacob Fedosky and Joseph Kmetz were recently honored with a $10,000 scholarship as “Future Business Legends” from the Texas Business Hall of Fame, based on their leadership skills, business acumen and entrepreneurial desire. Jacob and Joseph were two of 31 students who attend Texas universities to receive the award. They were presented with the award on November 5, 2014 at a luncheon in their honor at the Hilton Anatole Hotel in Dallas.
Jacob is senior Management Information Systems major, and he is also a member of the Rawls Ambassadors and the Rawls Business Leadership Program. Jacob began his entrepreneurial path at the age of 15, when he started buying and selling domain names. He is now an independent domain name broker and president of High End Holdings, a premium domain name investment firm.
Joseph is a senior Energy Commerce major. His passion for business began when he launched a successful eBay venture in high school. During his time at the Rawls College, he has completed energy-related internships with Phillips 66, the U.S. Congress, and Anadarko Petroleum. Joseph also is a member of the Texas Tech Honors College, the Rawls Ambassadors, and the Rawls Business Leadership Program.
