VISTAS MAGAZINE
Summer 2004
The Texas Tech University Health Science Center is focusing on becoming a leader in resolving health disparities issues, and one of the institution's goals is growth in its research enterprise. Through interdisciplinary collaborations, scientists are making new and interesting discoveries, for example, the fertility process in both animals and humans is being improved upon by researchers from the disciplines of human reproduction and animal sciences. As well, new programs are being developed that reach across the system to all students.
At Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center and Texas Tech University, scholars, scientists, health care providers and students are addressing some of the most pressing problems in the nation and world as the issues of West Texas often are the issues of our times.
