Winter 2004

Undergraduate students at Texas Tech University have opportunities, unmatched in the institution's history, to pursue research projects with scholars across both the university and health sciences center campuses from day one of university life. Having a 30-year old track record in involving undergraduates in the sciences, mathematics and engineering, Texas Tech is extending those unique prospects to undergraduates, and even younger K-12 students, to research in the humanities and social sciences, as well.

The positive effects of placing a young student under the wings of a scholar and mentor are many, not only for each individual undergraduate student, but for the researchers who are involving these bright youthful minds in their work.
