Open Records Request and Vendor
Protest Procedures
We strive to follow all policies, procedures,
legislation and State of Texas Statues and guidelines. The
following links will assist the vendor/proposer should need arise for
a Vendor Protest or an Open Records Request is in order.
Some helpful guidelines for filing a Vendor
Protest. The State Legislature mandated that each State Agency
adopt a Vendor Protest Procedure. Texas Tech University complied
with this statue and the following link is our Operating
Procedure.
Some helpful guidelines for filing an Open Records
Request.
1. The Office of Contracting will not accept verbal
requests for Open Records.
2. All requests should be made in
writing, either by letterhead or by
email.
3. Requests should include specific details of what is
being requested. Vague or incomplete request will not be
granted.
4. Requests will not be granted until a fully executed
contract is in effect, in accordance with Texas State laws.
