The Contracting Office is responsible for the procurement of all insurance for the University.  Insurance must follow the University procurement rules.  All insurance will be paid by the Contracting Office and billed to the departments accordingly.  Please contact Saundra Wilhite or Jennifer Adling if your department needs insurance or has questions on an existing policy.  The Contracting Office coordinates all insurance procurements with the System Office of Risk Management. 

Kendra Jackson handles the University vehicle insurance payments and departmental billing.  Please contact her if you have questions on your vehicle insurance or if you need a proof of insurance card.

The University does not carry liability insurance.  The University is covered under the Texas Tort Claims Act.  The Contracting Office can provide a self-insurance certificate summarizing the limits of this statute.
