Phi Kappa Phi

(Philosophía Krateítõ Phõtôn)
“Let the love of learning rule humanity”

Founded at the University of Maine in 1897, Phi Kappa Phi is the nation's oldest, largest, and most selective all-discipline honor society. Election to membership is by invitation only, and those elected include upper 7.5 percent last-term juniors, upper 10 percent seniors, and outstanding graduate students, faculty, professional staff, and alumni from campuses in the United States, Puerto Rico, and the Philippines.

At initiation, members receive gold keys and certificates of membership. Additionally, more than $700,000 in national and local scholarships is awarded annually. Phi Kappa Phi's mission is "To recognize and promote academic excellence in all fields of higher education and to engage the community of scholars in service to others."

Congratulations to the faculty and students at Texas Tech who have been initiated into this prestigious honor society.
