Students in the School of Art gain experience in drawing, ceramics, jewelry, metals, painting, photography, printmaking, and sculpture. Computer graphics, digital imaging, graphic design, illustration and packaging design also are offered. Students may obtain undergraduate degrees in art with areas of study in visual studies (teacher certification), communication design, studio art and art history.

SCHOLARSHIPS
Undergraduate scholarships available to art students include:
Art Memorial Scholarship (winners may become eligible for the Lubbock Arts Alliance School)
Charles M. PiJan Memorial Scholarship (studio art students)
Clarence Kincaid Memorial Scholarship (junior or senior art education students)
P&D Roch Scholarship (studio art students with emphasis in sculpture or painting)
W. Reid Hastie Memorial Scholarship (junior or senior art education students)
Willie and Eva Tate Family James LaMunyon Chancellor’s Council Scholarship (art history students)
