The Texas Tech School of Music offers undergraduate and graduate degrees and instruction in all band and orchestra instruments as well as piano, voice, guitar, organ, and harp. Areas of study include music education, performance, music theory, music composition.

Scholarships are awarded to music majors based on a successful audition-not always do they get a scholarship.

School of Music ensembles travel internationally and are often invited to prestigious performance venues.
Graduates teach and perform internationally and in all 50 states and have distinguished themselves as Fulbright Scholars, outstanding teachers, professional orchestral musicians, composers, music technologists, and as members of major international opera companies.
