The Bachelor of General Studies (B.G.S.) degree program is designed for the working professional, allowing you to pursue a degree while maintaining your personal and professional commitments. The B.G.S. degree provides a customized liberal arts foundation and prepares you to purse an intellectual interest, a career goal, or for graduate or professional study. Texas Tech University higher education teaching sites in the Texas Hill Country deliver curriculum enabling students who have completed their lower division course work at other institutions to earn a B.G.S. degree through Texas Tech University.

Classes are delivered using one or combinations of formats including web-based instruction, interactive video conferences, and face to face instruction. This program is only available at TTU at Fredericksburg, TTU at Highland Lakes, or TTU Center at Junction.
