Application Process
Applications will be accepted between January 1 and April 1, 2009. A new cohort will be admitted every two years (e.g. 2011, 2013).
Step 1: Follow the admissions procedures of Texas Tech University
Graduate School
and Texas A&M University Graduate School.
  • Each Institution requires the payment of an application fee.
  • You must submit your GRE scores to both Graduate Schools.
  • International students: you must also submit a Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score to both Graduate Schools

Step 2: In addition to the online application, you must submit an electronic portfolio to each institution.
  • The portfolio will include cover a page, statement of intent/purpose, letters of support from employer and family, five letters of recommendation, portfolio of writing samples (statement of purpose counts as one writing sample), and complete curriculum vita.
  • The Portfolio will also include a three to five minute digital video of yourself where you share (a) general information about yourself, (b) strategies that you have used to achieve career success to-date, (c) how the Doc@Distance program fits into your short, intermediate, and long-term career goals, and (d) details on how you plan to manage your time and priorites in order to successfully complete requirements of the degree program.
Step 3: Apply for Texas Tech financial aid. Apply for Texas A&M University financial aid.

*Attendance to face-to-face meeting is required; cost incurred for travel is the responsibility of the student. Additional travel by some individuals may be required at the request of the chair or committee.
