Program Requirements
Application Process
Program Overview
The goal of the Middle School Math and Science (MS)²: Understanding by Design program comprises two objectives - to increase the number of highly qualified in-service middle school math and science teachers and to ensure that these teachers have a well-developed interdisciplinary content knowledge base.

Program Delivery
Fall and spring semester coursework will be offered online. Intensive face-to-face summer sessions will be held on Texas Tech's Lubbock campus.

What is a Hybrid Program?
A hybrid program combines online and traditional classroom instruction to form a unique educational experience. Typical hybrid programs reduce time spent on campus because some of the coursework is available online. Face-to-face requirements are structured to help students create and maintain connections with instructors and other students.

The Middle School Math and Science (MS)²: Understanding by Design program features online coursework in the fall and spring semesters with face-to-face instruction taking place during three-week intensive sessions during the summers.

Partners
The Middle School Math and Science (MS)²: Understanding by Design program is a partnership between the Greater Texas Foundation and Texas Tech University's College of Education.
