TEXAS TECH CELEBRATES NATIVE AMERICAN HERITAGE MONTH
Events will feature speakers, films, performances and exhibits coordinated the by Texas Tech faculty and staff. Events include:
Monday, Nov 1• A photo exhibition by Edward Curtis, “Native American Women,” will open in the Southwest Collection.
Tuesday, Nov. 2• A panel discussion on “The Court Martial of the Apache Kid, 1887” will take place at 5:30 p.m. at the Lanier Auditorium, Texas Tech School of Law.
Friday, Nov. 5• A film fest featuring “White Fawn’s Devotion” and “The Invaders” will begin at 7 p.m. in the Museum of Texas Tech.
Thursday, Nov. 11• A public Lecture by Historian James F. Brooks at 7 p.m. at the Texas Tech International Cultural Center.
Thursday, Nov. 18• Native American singer Jana Mashonee will perform at 7 p.m. at the Texas Tech International Cultural Center.
Tuesday, Nov. 30• A contemporary film “Skins” will show at 4 p.m. in the Foreign Language Building.
