Texas Tech University

I’m First Gen Summit

Update Related to COVID-19

Due to the impact of COVID-19 and the safety that is utmost priority to us, we decided to post-pone the Summit. Instead, we encourage you to save the date for two future events.

The First-Gen Champions Institute will be a learning experience for educators – high school and collegiate faculty, staff and educators - who are interested in learning about support, advocacy and the current state of first-generation students' success. The event will be hosted in conjunction with Texas Tech's First-Gen Week, which is celebrated  in conjunction with National First-generation College Celebration Day  held in November.

The First-Gen Student Summit will be a learning experience and celebration for high school and college/university students in spring 2021. The event will be a memorable experience for students to feel empowered and be knowledgeable of their strengths as first-gen and future first-gen college students.
