President's Excellence in Diversity and Equity Award
Staff Award
The President's Excellence in Diversity and Equity Award was created by the Office of the President and is administered by the Division of Institutional Diversity, Equity, and Community Engagement to recognize the efforts of staff to engage in activities that promote the value of diversity and the importance of equity in the university.
The President's Excellence in Diversity and Equity Staff Award recognizes staff who have demonstrated leadership in:
- Supporting academic activities and projects that contribute to a better understanding of diversity and equity issues.
- Supporting students and/or student groups in programs and activities that promote tolerance and an appreciation of diverse cultures/groups.
- Participating in off campus activities that foster a greater understanding of diversity.
- Contributing to on and off campus activities that promote and celebrate diverse cultures/groups.
The recipient of the President's Excellence in Diversity and Equity Staff Award will receive a $1,500 professional development award in September 2013.
