Multicultural Faculty and Staff Association Endowed Scholarship

A $500 scholarship awarded to an undergraduate student, that is a Texas resident and a first-generation college student. The student must demonstrate financial need, have completed a minimum of 12 semester credit hours at Texas Tech and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. Applications are available in March each year. Awards are for an entire academic year with half of the total award given in the fall semester and the remaining half of the award given in the spring semester. 
Applications will be scored based on Leadership; Community Service; Academic Achievements and Diversity Contributions.

Bidal Aguero Endowed Scholarship

A $500 scholarship awarded to an undergraduate or graduate student that is a graduate of a high school within a 50-mile radius of Lubbock and be enrolled full-time at Texas Tech. The student must be a U.S. citizen and have a minimum GPA of 2.0. The student's financial need is considered, but not required. Student with a Business-related major preferred. Applications are available in March each year. Awards are for an entire academic year with half of the total award given in the fall semester and the remaining half of the award given in the spring semester.
Applications will be scored based on Leadership; Community Service; Academic Achievements; Diversity and Business Major

Institutional Diversity Success Scholarship

A $500 scholarship awarded to a sophomore, junior, or senior that is enrolled for a minimum of 12 semester credit hours at Texas Tech and has a minimum GPA of 2.7. Applications are available in March each year. Awards are for an entire academic year with half of the total award given in the fall semester and the remaining half of the award given in the spring semester.
Applications will be scored based on Leadership; Community Service; Academic Achievements and Diversity

The following will be due on May 5, 2020 for consideration for the scholarships listed above:

  • Completed Scholarship application will be open soon.
  • Two letters of recommendation from college faculty or staff, or community leaders familiar with your academic work, campus involvement, interests, or community service participation
  • Typed essay (500 word max.) explaining your interest and involvement in matters related to diversity, community engagement, leadership, and/or academic achievements
