Cindy Parnell
Unit Coordinator
Cindy Parnell began working for Texas Tech in 2001 at Outreach Extended Studies, now University College. She moved to IDEAL in 2008 as a Senior Business Assistant but since has been made a Unit Coordinator. Her responsibilities include overseeing student assistants, payroll, registrations, reports, and preparing for all IDEAL events.
She coordinates events with K-12 students for Super Saturdays as well as summer camps that include Science: It’s A Girl Thing, Shake Hands With Your Future, Run On The Wind and the Texas Tech Summer Institute.
She graduated from Wayland Baptist University with a Bachelor of Applied Science in 2011 and is currently working on her Masters of Business Administration. When not involved with work or classes, Cindy enjoys spending time at the lake, traveling, movies and being a mom to her two daughters, ages 17 and 21.
