Human Sciences

• The Department of Human Development and Family Studies has a Diversity Committee that meets every month to plan and implement activities designed to support our existing minority students, recruit, recruit new minority students, and initiate research endeavors on minority issues.
   
• Dr. So-hyun Joo co-authored two paper that received the Outstanding Conference Paper Award and the Outstanding Journal Paper Award at the annual meeting of the Association for Financial Counseling and Planning Education Conference, Savannah, Georgia.
   
• Dr. Yvonne Caldera received the Hispanic Woman of the Year in Education award for the Hispanic Association of Women.
