Denise Tijerina
Senior Administrator
As Senior Administrator with the
Office of Dean of Students & Associate Vice President for Student Affairs, she is primarily responsible for the
following areas:
- Coordinate, administer, and lead the services which center on student crisis, student emergency, and/or ART (Assessment & Response Team) situations
- Coordinate the Foundation for a Better Life program
- Coordinate the CashCourse program
- Assist potential students who wish to transfer to another university/college to remain at Texas Tech
Denise has more than 10 years experience in an academic setting. During this time she has been through previous positions which require her involvement with assisting students in need and coordinating many programs. She has a Bachelor of Occupational Education from Wayland Baptist University-Lubbock.
Denise enjoys spending time with family and volunteering at her church.
