Pre-Visit
Print out the World Map.

Have your students color the US and/or North America one color and Africa a different color. Talk about the different ways you could get to Africa from where we live. Use pictures from magazines or our online resources to show your students some of the different people, houses, and animals in Africa. There are also links to African animal coloring sheets on the resource page that you could print out and have your students color.

Introduce the African animals by using the questions to discuss some of their characteristics. Click here for Worksheet Questions
