Solid-State Energy Devices

 

Course Objectives: This course is designed for graduate students and will cover major aspects

related with energy devices, in particular, solid state energy devices. Format includes lectures,

reference search work, and students’ presentations. Topics include solid state devices for energy

generation, storage, and transportation.

 

Part I: Solar Cells

 

• Si solar cells (Crystalline Si, Thin film, Amorphous Si)

• Compound semiconductor solar cells

• Concentrated solar cells

• Solar cells on flexible substrates

• Dye-sensitized solar cells

• Organic solar cells
