  • 10/21 - The book entitled “Micro LEDs” - edited by Dr. Hongxing Jiang and Dr. Jingyu Lin has been published by Academic Press (ISBN: 9780128230411, 1st Edition, June 2021). Elsevier MicroLED (µLED) technology was first invented in 2000 by our research group [see e.g., US patent #6,410,940; Appl. Phys. Lett. 76, 631 (2000); Appl. Phys. Lett. 78, 1303; (2001); https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/MicroLED] . Today, MicroLEDs are considered as the ultimate display technology and set to revolutionize the way in which we watch TV in the coming years, as MicroLEDs are poised to become the technology of choice for 3D, augmented reality, virtual reality and large flat-panel displays. The technology has also opened up promising developments for use as neural probes and neuron simulation applications in the field of medicine.
