Dr. Delia Carrizales is an Assistant Professor at Texas Tech University in the Teacher Education Department. Since the fall of 2018 she has served as a Special Populations Curriculum Program Anchor at the College of Education.  Dr. Carrizales' research is focused in investigating creative and transformative methods in bilingual/ESL and special education to promote access in education. Within this general area of interest, she has focused on (1) developing preservice teachers' Spanish proficiency, (2) preparing preservice teachers to teach in various dual language settings, and (3) preparing preservice teachers to teach English Language Learners with learning disabilities.
