Jay Morales was born in Puerto Rico where he obtained his undergraduate degree before moving to Texas in 1999. Jay Morales is a Site Coordinator and Instructor for Texas Tech University in the Dallas area. As a faculty member of the College of Education, Jay Morales supervises the Teacher Candidates in the TeachTeach 2+1 program where undergraduate students complete a bachelor’s degree in an intense academic year. As a Site Coordinator, Jay Morales establishes and manages the partnerships between Dallas Independent School District leaders, the Teacher Candidates and Texas Tech Faculty in Lubbock.
Jay Morales joined Texas Tech University in 2015 where he became TAP certified in order to support Teacher Candidates, as they become excellent teachers through field experience.
With 17 years of previous experience in the field of education in AISD, DISD and IISD, Jay Morales worked as an Elementary Teacher, an Instructional Coach and Instructional Technology Specialist.
Aside from working in the field of education, Jay Morales made an appearance in the field of Fine Arts where he performed with a renowned Dallas Chorus for 5 years. Furthermore, he developed a collection of artwork, which sold in two Dallas stores and appeared in various exhibits.
Jay Morales obtained a Masters Degree in Business Administration with a major in Marketing from the University of Phoenix in 2006.
He graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Preschool and Elementary Education in 1999 from the University of Puerto Rico at Bayamon.
