Rebecca Ortiz is an Assistant Professor of Practice in the College of Education at Texas Tech University.  Her interests are in the field of mathematics and science education.  Since joining the faculty, she has been Co-PI, collaborated and received grants that emphasize these areas.  Most recently, work has also focused on developing teacher content knowledge in these areas with a focus on enhancing the learning of English Language learners.
