Fellowship Application and Required Materials

In order to be considered for a Jones Fellowship in Teacher Education, you must complete the following applications following relevant guidelines and deadlines:

• Apply to the Graduate School for admission
• Apply to a doctoral program in the College of Education
• Apply to become a Research Assistant in the College of Education
• Complete the online Jones Fellowship application

Application deadlines for the Jones Fellowships are September 1 for students who wish to begin their studies in the spring semester and February 15 for students who plan to begin studies in the fall semester. The following documents will be required when completing the Jones Fellowship application:

• A letter of application that addresses your relevant motivations, experiences and qualifications for the Jones Fellowship in Teacher Education and your relevant research interests and career plan
• A copy of your full curriculum vitae
• All undergraduate and graduate transcript(s)
• Three letters of recommendation that address the applicant's potential to excel in a doctoral program and to contribute importantly to scholarship, program, and service relevant to teacher education
• A writing sample preferably addressing the issues relevant to teacher education
